A dining table I made using oak boards from the barn at my parents’ house (possible 100+ years old).  Thanks to my dad and uncle for teaching me and helping me with this.

I’ve always had a great respect for Native Americans and their history.  Powerful photograph.

I love the original Star Wars Trilogy and found these cool poster concepts.

And so it begins…

I’ve been a collector all my life.  As a kid, my eyes were always open for interesting things to pick up and put in my pocket while walking from the car to the store.  I might find a half-rusted washer or a marble or even an interesting looking rock.  They all went in my pocket and were then transferred to a shoebox when I got home.  I still have those random things from my childhood collecting days.  Those shoeboxes are packed away in the basement, but it brings back fond memories when I’m looking for something and stumble upon them.

I would say I am still a collector.  I’ll be walking along and find a bent piece of scrap metal that has been used and worn to the point that I can’t not pick it up.  But these days I find myself collecting images and ideas I see online.  I am constantly inspired and I wanted to create a place to keep them.

This is my new shoebox.
